A motorcyclist was trapped under a bus following a collision in Curbridge this morning (April 22).
The crash – which also involved a car – happened at 7.27am near the Horse and Jockey Pub in Botley Road, and caused the road to be closed creating traffic tailbacks in the surrounding areas.
The male motorcyclist, riding a black Suzuki Bandit, was treated at the scene of the accident, between Outlands Lane, Botley, and Whiteley Lane, Burridge, for non life threatening injuries.
Police said the man was trapped under the bus for a period of time. He was later taken by ambulance to Queen Alexandra Hospital at Cosham with neck and shoulder injuries.
It is not known if the bus was carrying any passengers. The driver of the Fiat 500 car did not suffer an injuries.
The road was reopened at 8.27am, but traffic was slow in Swanwick Lane, with delays also on the A27 at Park Gate.
