Jack Kennedy, 7, is presented with the trophy by David Swanbrow in the 2012 tournament
Young and old alike have the chance to take part in the traditional game on Saturday October 19 organised by the Friends of Holly Hill.
Last year seven-year-old Jack Kennedy was the conker king in the rain-soaked event. But who will be crowned this year’s winner and take the coveted trophy?
The event starts at 2pm. Gamers should meet at Holly Hill main car park, off Barnes Lane.
Councillor Connie Hockley, Executive member for Leisure and Community, said: “This annual event is very popular with all generations and will be a lovely way to spend some time with family and friends at the woodland park this autumn.”
Players should wear warm clothes and stout footwear. Refreshments will be available.
It costs 50p to play in the tournament. Pay on the day or book in advance by calling 01329 310290.
