Dance-a-cality held a show called The Magic of Musicals at the Sarisbury Green Community Centre recently in aid of the Countess Mountbatten Hospice in memory of Penny Scott – a close friend of dance teacher Lara Hallam.
The show raised an £470 for the charity, which helped Penny in her final stages of pancreatic cancer.
“The show went really well,” said Lara. “We are really proud of all the girls and the support from friends and family in raising this amount from a small school.
“My Auntie Penny supported me throughout my Amateur and Professional performing career by making my costumes, coming to support me in shows throughout the UK.
“She was a lovely lady and will be sadly missed and I couldn’t have thought of anyone else to dedicate the show too.”
